Who runs this site
JeeLab is Julian Jee's homelab. Julian Jee runs this website and the apps listed below. Questions about this policy go to julian.jee@jeelab.io.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no ads.
- Pages, fonts and images are served from jeelab.io itself. Nothing loads from other sites.
- Cloudflare hosts the site. To deliver and protect it, Cloudflare processes request data such as your IP address, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Search runs in your browser against an index stored on this site.
Apps
Each app is a small tool JeeLab runs for its operator's own use. The sections below say what each one touches.
gphotos-uploader
Uploads photos from my own machines to my own Google Photos library.
What it accesses
Photos and videos from folders the operator chose on the machines that run the tool, plus the albums and media items this tool created in their Google Photos library. It cannot read or change any other photo in the library.
Google permissions
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/photoslibrary.appendonly: Add new photos and videos, and the albums that hold them, to the library.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/photoslibrary.readonly.appcreateddata: See which photos and albums this tool already uploaded, so nothing is sent twice.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/photoslibrary.edit.appcreateddata: Update the albums and photos this tool created.
Where data is kept
The tool runs only on machines its operator controls, a laptop and a personal server in this homelab. Each keeps its own sign-in token and its own record of what was uploaded. No JeeLab service receives photo or account data, so nothing is kept anywhere else.
Sharing
Nothing is shared with anyone. Data moves only between the machine running the tool and the operator's Google Photos library, through Google's API.
How long it is kept
Uploaded photos stay in Google Photos until the operator deletes them there. The upload record stays on each machine until it is deleted there.
Removing access
Remove the app from the third-party connections in your Google Account at any time. The tool stops working until it is signed in again. Open your third-party connections.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Photos APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google user data
JeeLab's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data from Google APIs is used only for each app's own features. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not transferred to anyone else unless the law requires it.
Changes
When this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. This version is effective October 21, 2026.
